Placing a sculpture in a garden can create a fabulous focal point, and a sculpture of this scale definitely has a big impact.
‘Embrace’ is by Cheshire based artist Jill Clarke. The three curving arms of the sculpture are designed to “represent a safe haven, a shelter with metaphorical arms providing comfort and affection”.
Constructed in corten steel, Embrace provides a solidity and warmth, and is complimented beautifully by the surrounding soft grasses and herbaceous planting. The sculpture forms part of a larger garden in Cheshire designed by Matt and also features the corten steel fire bowl featured in our previous blog post ‘Fire Table or Fine Art?’.
