How we designed an award winning garden – Part 1
Part 1 – Initial Client Visit
Our beautiful Tranquil Garden in Wilmslow has gained a lot of attention over the last year. Not only did it win two BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) National Landscape Awards – It won the Principle Design Excellence Award, for a scheme between £50k-£125k and a Special Award for Best First Time Entrant – it’s also been featured in magazines and always gets plenty of likes when we post images of it on social media.
So we thought we’d share the process we used to get from this
When we first visit a new client our main aim is to get to know them. We will find out what they like and dislike about their existing garden and what their desires are for their new garden. We’ll show them lots of examples of our previous work to get a really good feel for their tastes and aspirations.
We will then discuss timescales, budgets and landscape costs and talk them through the whole design and build process. This way the client can get a real understanding of how we work and what they can expect from us. After this initial visit, we would hope to leave the clients feeling really inspired about their new garden project.
Next week in Part 2 we’ll talk about the survey and the brief.
