Rushton Spencer, Cheshire
The owners of this newly renovated farmhouse in the village of Rushton Spencer in the Cheshire/Staffordshire borders wanted to create a practical yet beautiful family garden for relaxing and entertaining, which made the most of its idyllic rural setting and the stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
- Family entertaining spaces with separate barbeque and dining areas
- Feature courtyard space viewed from large picture window
- New driveway and gates
- Feature lighting
The adjacent dining and seating areas were surrounded by fragrant borders of lavender and sage to create more intimate enclosed spaces, complemented by the rusts of the soft furnishings and lighting.
The colour pallet of blues, lilacs and whites were carried on to the barbecue area, which was framed by an elegant pergola.
Existing yorkstone paving was utilised in different formats and practical gravel was selected for the paths and driveway.
The borders around the lawns were used to maximum effect to both enhance the views of the surrounding countryside and to create more secluded areas.
